Wounds and reactions enslave you.
You were created for freedom.
You deserve to take risks, try new things, love and be loved. Often past hurts hinder us from stepping fully into our true selves and a purposeful life.
Explore your story. Step beyond your wounds.
My Philosophy about Healing
You were made to feel safe, seen and known — secure in relationship. Unmet needs cause wounds that burden you.
I focus on past wounds and current avoidances. We adopt strategies for living that are
aimed at meeting unmet needs
or avoiding emotional pain.
“Our self-protection becomes our prison.”
Sue Johnson
My approach to Therapy
You try to deal with your wounds as best as you can, but these strategies become rigid and inflexible, causing trouble in the present moment.
I will help you identify past wounds and learn how to hold and approach difficult emotions. Our goal is not to eliminate all suffering, but rather to address the pain and distress that is our own making.
